A guide to checking your Microsoft 365 licenses

Microsoft 365 Quick Tips

What Microsoft 365 Subscription do I have?

In this blog post I will show you how to check what licenses you have in your Microsoft 365 Tenant. Firstly, to be able to see and check this you will need to be either a Global Administrator or a Billing Administrator. If you do not have the required permissions, then please contact your Global Administrator who can give you access.

From the menu on the left-hand side, expand the Billing drop down.

Under Billing click on Licenses.

Here you will see a list of all your licenses you have in Microsoft 365. This includes all purchased licenses whether they are assigned or not. It also includes any trial licenses you have or Microsoft have given you thinking you may want them.

*Note: If you purchased your licenses yourself then below will work. If you purchased your licenses from a Microsoft Partner or 3rd party, you will need to contact them to make changes to your licenses.

To manage the licenses that you have click on Your Products from the Billing menu. Here you can add or remove licenses or cancel your subscription.

Alternatively, you can click on Purchase Services to purchase additional Microsoft 365 products. I would highly recommend you get in touch with a Microsoft Partner, they will help and guide you to the best value products for your requirements.
